ACL invests Rs. 250 m for re-branding

INVESTMENT: ACL Cables Ltd launched their new marketing communications strategy at a ceremony held for their distributors and stakeholders.

Managing Director of ACL Cables Ltd, Suren Madanayake said the company plans to invest Rs. 250 million in a project in August.

He further added that partners of ACL Cables Ltd, namely Clipsal - are in the process of setting up a modern factory in Sri Lanka for the manufacture of Clipsal range of products for both the local and export market.

Schneider of France who are the owners of Clipsal brand, intend to invest Rs. 800 million over the next 3 to 4 years in this connection, commented that the launch heralds a new transformation for the company that includes a more focused and dynamic marketing strategy and a stratified vision to take the company to greater heights.

The revamp of the ACL Cables logo further represents the company's three-pronged aim of excellence in quality, modern technology and trustworthiness.

The company has made remarkable strides in the past 44 years as the pioneer in the cable industry and in the manufacture and distribution of low-voltage power cables, including armoured underground cables, aerial bundled cables and conductors.

ACL Cables Ltd has the distinction of being the leaders for low voltage XLPE insulated Aerial Bundled cables in South and South East Asia.

ACL cables holds a 45% share in the total cable market and also has an 80% market share in the supply of high-end cables to BOI approved projects. With a network of 3500 dealers islandwide, the company ensures 24 hour service in the maintenance and sales of the products at all islandwide retail outlets.

Madanayake further added, "We are delighted with the progress we have made and are appreciative towards our distributors and customers who have placed their trust and confidence in the ACL Cables brand throughout the past 44 years.

Our new vision aims to take the brand to new heights and continue to follow the pioneering spirit of our founders that has served as the foundation of our success."
