Navy foot patrol retaliates
A Navy foot patrol retaliated an attack by the
LTTE at Kumburupiddy, North of Trincomalee around 6.30 p.m. on
Thursday which resulted in the death of one LTTE cadre. Two LTTE
cadres were injured, the Navy recovered a T-56 gun, ammunition and a
walkie-talkie.

Unclaimed car near Minister's office removed
A man was arrested on suspicion by troops at a junction in Colombo 03
on Wednesday around 5.30pm after he failed to furnish any reasons for
his presence at the location, the Army said.
