Unclaimed car near Minister's office removed

A man was arrested on suspicion by troops at a junction in Colombo 03 on Wednesday around 5.30pm after he failed to furnish any reasons for his presence at the location, the Army said.

Rajendran Thilaka Rasan, 25, of 37/B, Sanhidi, Thondamanaru, Jaffna was handed over to Kollupitiya Police station for further investigations, the Army added.

Meanwhile, an unclaimed car found near Minister Douglas Devananda's administration office at Park Road in Narahenpita, Colombo, on Wednesday night was taken to the Police station for investigations.

Police with the assistance of Special Task Force Bomb Disposal Team took the car (WPHL 1793) to the Police station.

Narahenpita Police are investigating.
