Mahela, Avishka to lead teams

Test cap Mahela Jayawardena and Avishka Gunawardena will captain the two teams in a Twenty20 cricket match to mark the annual general meeting of the cricket playing section of the Singhalese Sports Club at the SSC Grounds, Maitland Place on Sunday.

Ex-Sri Lankan stalwarts C.I. Gunasekera, Bertie Wijesinghe, Channa Gunasekera, P.I. Pieris, Nihal Kodituwakku, Sarath Silva, Anura Tennekoon, H.S. Pieris, Sriyantha Rajapaksa, Wettimuny's - Sunil, Mithra, Sidath to the present lot of Marvan Atapattu, Mahela Jayawardena, Thilan Samaraweera, Dilhara Fernando, Nuwan Soysa and some of the budding players too will be among the 100 past and present cricketers who have been invited.

In addition, the SSC veterans team led by former Sri Lanka captain Arjuna Ranatunga will take on the Lanka Bell team in another limited overs game.
