The market moved up down considerable with the All Share Price Index (ASPI) losing 42.60 points to close at 1893.51 and the Milanka Price Index (MPI) also moving down by 67.09 points to close at 2627.04 points.

Services and land and property sectors recorded marginal gains while telecommunication, banks and finance, healthcare and plantation sectors recorded negative growth. A total turnover of Rs 256.5Mn was recorded during the day.

A total of 3997 trades were concluded during the day. Foreign investors were net sellers in the market with sales of Rs 30.9 Mn against purchases of Rs 14 Mn. Top gainers for the day were Vanik-Non voting(+20%), Serendib Land (+16.67%), Commercial Development (+15.28%) while the top losers were Talawakelle(-13.04%), Tess Agro (-12.5%), Vanik-Voting (-12.5%) and Kelsey (-11.95%)
