Government pledges to develop small industries

Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapakse said the Government has considered local handicraft, textile and small industries are major players in the national economy, and it will take every possible actions to preserve and develop traditional and modern handicrafts thereby uplifting the social and economic status of the craftsmen.
