Remains will lie at   A.F. Raymond's Funeral Parlour from 1.00 p.m. on Monday 1st November 2004, a religious service will be held at 3.30 p.m. on Wednesday 3rd, followed by Cremation with Naval Honours at General Cemetery Borella at 5.00 p.m. 43/4A, Isipathana Mawatha, off Anderson Road, Dehiwala. FERNANDO - MRS. DULCIE Beloved wife of the late Rev. S.L.B. Fernando, loving mother of Shanthi Fernando and Rev. Dr. Sumith Fernando (USA), mother-in-law of Rev. Norman Fernando and Manel Fernando (USA), darling grandmother of Sumali (USA), Nimali and Sameera. Went to be with God on October 29th 2004. Cortege leaves A.F. Raymond's Funeral Parlour at 8.30 a.m. on Monday 1st November to Methodist Church, Mount Lavinia for viewing from 9 a.m., thereafter service will be held at the Mount Lavinia Methodist Church at 10.30 a.m. followed by Burial at the Moratumulla Methodist Burial Ground. 

GOONERATNE - A. TERRENCE R. (Attorney-at-law; JPUM). Dearly beloved husband of Ranjanie (nee Senaviratne), much loved father of Shanaka (SriLankan Airlines), Shiran (Snr. State Counsel Attorney General's Dept), Nirmani (Attorney-at-Law Australia) and Rajiv, father-in-law of Geethanjali, Dilani and Ravindra Perera (Australia), loving grandfather of Shanishka, Shinska, Shanelka and Melani, Ranika, Shalini (Australia), brother of the late Denzil, Rex, the late Ivan, Rita, Shirley and the late Derrick, expired. Cortege leaves residence No. 115, Club Road, Kegalle on Monday 1st November at 3.00 p.m. for Catholic Cemetery, Kegalle. 

SAMARANAYAKE - ABRAHAM (Rtd. Asst Supdt of Police). Beloved husband of retired Teacher Dhammika Wijewickrama, father of Dimuthu (STF), Nilumi (HNB Assurance), Nilushi (Sariputtha Vidyalaya, Matara), father-in-law of Dilani Kumarasinghe (Pamunuwa Junior School, Maharagama), Chandana Amerasinghe (Janashakthi Insurance),  expired. Cremation on Nov. 2nd, 5 p.m. at General Cemetery, Matara. 'Sandalla', Kanattagoda, Matara.  

MENDIS - SOBANI (nee Fernando)   (Attorney-at-Law). Beloved wife of Laksiri (Ceylon Electricity Board), loving mother of Sithmini and Udani (Students St Bridget's Convent, Colombo), much loved daughter of the late Gerald Fernando and Mrs Rachel Fernando of Wennappuwa, daughter-in-law of the late Mr and Mrs Joseph Peter Calvin Mendis of Uswatta, Moratuwa, sister of Ranjini, Priyani (Staff de Mazenod College- Kandana) and the late Mareeni (formerly of LB Finance), sister-in-law of Senaka Fernando, Ananda Rajakaruna (Urban Development Authority - Eastern Province), Neomal, Priyamal and Dheeshani. Funeral on Monday 1st November 2004. Burial at St Sebastian's Church, Moratuwa at 4.00 p.m.   No.77, Uswatte Circular Road, Moratuwa.  

RATNAYAKA - CHANDRA  (nee Bowatte).  Beloved wife of late Kolitha Ratnayaka (former General Manager of the Janatha Estates Development Board - JEDB and Chairman Sri Lanka State Plantations Corporation - SLSPC), mother of Kavan (IBM), Sagala (Member of Parliament) and Thanuja (Nobles), mother-in-law of Kshanika and Dominic D'Almeida, grandmother of Krishen and Kavisha, daughter of late H.B. Bowatte and late Seelawathi Kumarihami Bowatte, sister of late Mallika, late Cyril, late Mahinda, late Tissa, Hema, Kamala, Ananda, Neville, late Malini and Sirima, expired. Cremation, Tuesday, 2 November, at 3.00 p.m., at General Cemetery, Borella. No.4, 28th Lane, Off Flower Road, Colombo 7.
