The Asian Aviation Centre (AAC), the only private sector aeronautical engineering and flying academy in Sri Lanka has introduced a career guidance program which will give students an opportunity to experience the thrill of aviation. The program is due to be held on August 6 and an exclusive number of students will be able to get into an aeroplane, visit the Air Traffic Control centre and see an aircraft engine on display. This practical course is designed to enhance the participant’s knowledge on flying. Here some students are on the job training at the centre.

Development Bank to boost Lanka's tourism

"Sri Lanka Tourism is hoping to set up a Development Bank to promote tourism in Sri Lanka, said the Chairman of Sri Lanka Tourism," Udaya Nanayakkara. Addressing a reception at the signing of an agreement between the Travel Agents' Association of Sri Lanka (TAASL) and Travel Agents' Association of India (TAAI) he said that there are many projects waiting to kick off.
