Looking into grievances of public servants, priority of Alliance -Anura

Senior Presidential Advisor Anura Bandaranaike in a media release yesterday stated that looking into the grievances and salary anomalies of public servants will take top priority in the agenda of the Freedom Alliance Government.

Public Servants who shoulder the responsibility of moving forward the Government development programmes are entitled to a fair deal in respect of their conditions of service and remuneration. They must have an atmosphere of performing their duties with dignity.

There are anomalies in their salary scales, resulting in various agitations and strikes. It is ungrateful to ignore their grievances and repress them after winning their vote.

The Freedom Alliance is well equipped with a practical programme to redress the grievances of the public servants, after winning the General Election of April 02, stated Anura Bandaranaike's media release.
