David Peiris Motor Company launches 'Pulsar twins'

David Peiris Motor Company Ltd., market leader in Sri Lanka's automotive industry announces yet another addition to its already formidable motorcycle range.

The new Pulsar 150 ES and 180 usher in a whole new era in the two-wheeler industry. With the cutting-edge DTSi technology, the Pulsar twins take a quantum leap into the future, zooming way ahead of competition.

The DTSi (Digital Twin Spark ignition) technology offered for the first time in Sri Lanka on the highly successful and reputed Pulsar twins will revolutionise the two-wheeler market, offering a phenomenal performance augmentation.

Two spark plugs at eight end of the combustion chamber ensure faster and better combustion, leading to better fuel efficiency, minimal knocking and low emissions. The DTSi engine has enabled Pulsar motorcycles to conform the stringent '2005 Emission Norms' and is patented by Bajaj Auto, India.

A digital CDI with an 8 bit microprocessor chip handles the spark delivery. The programmed chip's memory contains an optimum ignition timing for any given engine rpm, thereby obtaining the best performance characteristics form the combustion chamber.

Working together with the TRICS111 system it delivers optimum ignition timing for varying load conditions. The digitally controlled Ignition System accurately introduces spark with respect to engine rpm, enabling consistent power delivery and leading to better performance.

Throttle Responsive Ignition Control System 111rd generation is a means of controlling the ignition operating the throttle. Depending on the needs of the rider whether it be cruising, acceleration or max speed, the ignition requirements constantly change.

Based on a particular amount of throttle opening, the magnetic field generated by the magnet opens or closes the reed switch. The reed switch is connected to the digital CDI to change/switch, the desired ignition advance timing maps.

The Twin Ignition Map with third generation Throttle Responsive Ignition Control System (TRICS) is mounted directly on the carburetor and alters the ignition timing, depending on different engine speed and load. This ensures optimum utilisation of air-fuel mixture.

DPMC is the only automotive company in Sri Lanka to have achieved the ISO 9001:2000 certification by the Sri Lanka Standards Institute and is renowned for its professionalism and superior customer service with a 700 strong dealer network spread throughout the country.

Its service goes way beyond a nod and a smile once a deal is made and that's what makes DPMC the undisputed leaders in the market.
