Key indices, turnover drops

The transactions at the Colombo Bourse yesterday fluctuated with key indices and turnover decreasing.

The All Share Price Index dipped to 1,201.40 points from 1,204.89 the previous day. The Milanka Price Index dropped to 1,969.89 points compared to 1,979.15 points on Tuesday. Turnover dropped to Rs. 94,662,910 from 109,677,931.

Heavily traded stocks were Distilleries, JKH, SLT and Dockyard. Domestic purchases were Rs 1,193 and foreign purchases Rs. 77 million.

The day's top five gainers were Vanik Incorp Ltd, Mullers, Browns, Hotel Services and Colombo Land.
