Dinamina Vesak annual 2546-2002 is out now as has been the tradition for the last seventy one years. Consisting of rich scholarly essays as well as light informative articles, the magazine is a good gift of Dhamma this Vesak season. The articles have been written both by erudite Bhikkhus and lay scholars and writers some of them being Ven. Dr. Meegoda Pannaloka, Wellawatte Gnanabhivansa, Bellana Gnanavimala, Panditha Wimal Abeysundara, Dr. D.P. Athukorala and Dayasena Gunasinghe. Dr. Ven. Meegoda Pannaloka discusses the planning structure of Tripitaka literature. The veteran cardiologist Dr. D. P. Athukorala writes on the Buddhists meat eating. S. N. Dayaratne's eloquent essay is on personal hygiene as advocated in Buddhism. On the cover is a drawing by the late Dannie Wimalasiri who gained a name as an artist who depicted themes in Buddhist literature in his arts. Several of his colour arts illustrating the poems of 'Loveda Sangarawa' are among the inside pages.
