News Business Features Editorial Security Politics World Letters Sports Obituaries | Two cluster polling centres by Trincomalee correspondent Two cluster polling centres will be set up at Al Hidaya MV, Mutur and at Mahindapura, to enable voters in the uncleared areas of the Mutur and Ichilampattai Divisions in the Trincomalee District to exercise their rights at the forthcoming General Elections. Polling stations at Kaddiparichan, Chenaiyoor Sampur, Koonithivu, Nallur and Ilankathurai have been clustered together and situated at Mutur for security reasons. Polling stations at Ichilampattai, Sempaha, Vallaithottam, Ilakanthai and Karukkamunai have been clustered to gather and situated at Mahindapura, in the Seruwila Division. There are 212,280 registered voters in the Trincomalee District including 14,000 in the uncleared areas. There will be 219 polling stations in the District. |
