The Minister Counsellor of the Norway Embassy Oddvar Laegreid, who was the Chief Guest said the Sri Lanka-Norway Society is building very cordial relations with Norway for over a decade. He added that many Sri Lankans are provided with opportunities to visit Norway for advanced studies in various fields of industry, fisheries, agriculture and they perform a yeomen service to improve the quality of life. Norway has also assisted for over a decade in the rural integration and development projects in Southern parts of Sri Lanka, particularly the Hambantota and Moneragala Districts.
