Supplementary medical sector strike today by Bharatha Malawaraarachchi Health employees in the supplementary medical sectors will strike today in protest against the failure of the Health Ministry to grant their three main demands, their Joint Council said yesterday. The Joint Council consists of pharmacists, radiographers, Medical Laboratory Technicians, Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists. "Two months ago, the Ministry agreed to issue a circular regarding our demands, but so far the Ministry did not act," the spokesman said. "We will continue our strike until the Minister issues correct circulars granting our demands,' a spokesman of the Joint Council of Professions Supplementary to Medicine told the 'Daily News' yesterday. |
