Gateway in 4 - 0 win over AIS

Gateway College cruised to an easy four goals to nil victory over Asian International School in their Inter International Schools Under 17 boys football tournament match worked off at the Municipal ground in Kirulapone yesterday. The winners sealed the match very early by building up a commanding 3-0 lead at half time and added another goal to their tally in the second half to complete another convincing victory.

Meanwhile Royal Institute kept their hopes alive of qualifying into the semifinals by registering a close 2-1 victory over Alethea International School after leading one nil at half time in another match played at the same venue. In another boys tournament match Lyceum College Wattala had the better of Alethea International School 3-1 after having led 2-1 at half time.

In the girls tournament The British School in Colombo powered their way into the final with an exciting one nil victory over Lyceum College Nugegoda with the match winning goal coming in the first half.

The tournament organized and conducted by The British School in Colombo in collaboration with the Football Federation of Sri Lanka will be continued today at the same venue.
