Govt requests US to lift travel advisory on Sri Lanka

The External Affairs Ministry requested the United States to lift its travel advisory on Sri Lanka.

A discussion with regard to this was held between Sri Lankan and US Embassy officials at the External Affairs Ministry.

Sri Lankan officials informed US representatives why Sri Lanka should be removed from such an advisory.

External Affairs Ministry officials believe the US representatives are satisfied with the submission and would make representation to the State Department in this regard.
