House for needy

A house, built at a cost of Rs 800,000 of which Rs 125,000 was contributed by the National Youth Services Council under the auspices of the Sri Lanka Youth Housing Project - 2013, was handed over to a low income group beneficiary in the Kattankudy Secretarial Division by the Eastern Provincial Councilor Sipley Farook recently. The handing over ceremony was presided by the Batticaloa District National Youth Services Council Assistant Director.

He said similar houses were constructed in 13 secretarial divisions in the Batticaloa District.
