The first copy of the latest publication by Senior Attorney D A P
Weeratne was presented to Attorney General Palitha Fernando PC recently
at the residence of Attorney General.
The book's primary objective is to consider the main concepts, recent
trends of Case Law in Sri Lanka and India. Attorneys of Law Jayanie B
Weeratne and Vihara Weeratne are the co-authors of this book titled as
'New Trends in Section 66 Applications Under the Primary Courts
Procedure Act'.
"This publication is an offshoot of years' experience in original
courts. This would not have been possible if not for the stimulus and
encouragement of certain judicial officers," Senior Attorney D A P
Weeratne opined.
Attorneys of Law Jayanie and Vihara are his daughters. Weeratne also
appreciated the assistance of juniors Thisara Harasgama in preparing the
case index. The others who have helped in the compilation are Sanjaya
Ranatunga, Anuradha Lakman, Anura Sumanasena and M R Ariyadasa, the
author added. |
