Path open for Kasun

He is an essential part of a good teamwork. His contribution is highly required and quite appreciated. He is all about music and singing. He has achieved much throughout his music career as a keyboard player, announcer and a singer.

Kasun Namaldeniya is a major personality of the music band Matara C which is established in Matara. It was one of the main competitors in the ITN Rantharu band competition and was won the Most Popular band award in 2007. More than 800 music bands contested in the band competition.

During the competition, Kasun was the keyboard player of the band who performed really well to attract people. He contributed much in making the band the most popular one.

He is from Matara who has been dreaming of becoming a singer since music was his inborn talent. So far he has done four original songs of his own and his band has launched a DVD called Sihinaya. There are three songs by Kasun. 'Prema Rathriya' is his next work which is to be launched soon. It is done by the M Entertainment. Musicians such as Priyantha Nawalage, Nadun Rathnayake, Shihan Galahitiyawa, Dilki Maneesha Roshan Rupasinghe and Thilanka Mallikarachchi have done music and lyrics to his songs.

"I always wanted to contribute my best to my band and to become individually talented as well. So far I have achieved my goals and looking forward to going a long way with it being a well competent artiste. I am quite grateful to my band leader Lanka who always backs me in every way he could. He is a perfect leader who shows us the exact path to go on. My entire effort is to do something interesting to entertain those who love music," said Kasun.

Matara C music band consists of Lanka Niroshan (leader), Chandana Pradeep (Base Guitar), Suranga Kumara (Rhythm guitar), Shanka Janith (Keyboard), Nalin Sampath (Drums), Eranga (Octapad) and Sameera Sandaruwan (singer).
