Hulftsdorp Debates 2013

The Sri Lanka Law College's English Literary Association will be organizing the 'Hulftsdorp Debates' 2013 which marks the tournament's second year in the running as the premier Higher Educational English debating competition in the island.

Following in the wake of the remarkable success the first ever Hulftsdorp Debates held last year, this year's tournament is expected to be even more promising with more teams seeking the opportunity to participate in this highly engaging battle of wits and verbiage as the best of debaters from premier league Higher Educational institutes compete to claim the laurels of victory.

With sixteen teams set to take the arena on July 13 and 14 the tournament will have new participants this year such as the team from The Sir John Kotelawela Defense University. On June 29 the organizers will be hosting all teams to a workshop at the Sri Lanka Law College which will be conducted by The Debaters Council of Sri Lanka, the officiating body for the tournament.

The organizers herby extent a warm invitation to all who have an interest in debating to come to the Sri Lanka Law College to watch the debaters in action on July 13 and 14 and witness the second annual Hulftsdorp Debates.
