Janashakthi partners Future Minds Higher Education, career exhibition

The Janashakthi stall

Leading Insurer, Janashakthi partnered the 8th Future Minds exposition in a bid to encourage future leaders of the country to choose a soild education path. The Future Minds higher educational exhibition enables school leavers and students to choose a best suited higher educational option. Dr Rajitha Senaratne, Minister of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources Development ceremoniously declared opened this year's exposition. This time Future Minds 2013 is being held in Colombo, Kandy and Galle.

Prakash Schaffter, Managing Director of Janashakthi said, “Future Minds is the most dynamic education exhibition in Sri Lanka, which provides a platform for both educational institutes and students. As a company that operates in an intensely price competitive market, we believe in human talent management and harnessing their potential to keep our human talent abreast of latest products and developments. Therefore, we truly understand and desire to support initiatives such as this to mould strong and competent future leaders.”

Future Minds provides a single platform on which, students can interact with Higher Educational and Tertiary Educational Institutes, both State and Private and make well-informed choices about their Career Development. The exposition featured ‘Future Minds Talent Tank’, competition for school children, which focused on discovering the next generation of creative minds. “We have taken a huge amount of interest in improving our manpower and training.

We are annually spending as much as Rs.60 million now on training. People are sent to USA to Japan, UK, Dubai, Vietnam and Singapore to sharpen up their professional skills. On top of that, we have a training department with a team of full time trainers and a calendar of activities all year round. As a responsible local company, we like to extend the same support that we give our employees to the country's future generation. Future Minds is the ideal platform to extend our support in an effective manner.” said Shehara De Silva, Genral Manager, Sales and Marketing, Janashakthi.
