PSC will decide on Amendment - President

The Parliamentary Select Committee will look in to the constitutional amendments with regard to the 13th Amendment and whether they are necessary or not, said the President, and he said it is the body empowered to look into the issue.

He added that there was no particular Indian concern on the issue of the 13th Amendment when asked about the issue of negotiations that the Indian government is said to be having with Sri Lanka on the issue, and added that the Indian National Security Advisor will be in Sri Lanka on a regular visit to discuss a regional defence arrangement that involves also the Maldives.
