Mercantile T20 from June 22

The second annual T20 League Softball Cricket Tournament which is to be conducted by the Mercantile Softball Cricket Association will be worked on June 22 and 23 at Somaweera Chandrasiri ground Piliyandala and Central College ground Piliyandala.

Sixteen Mercantile teams have already entered including the defending Champions Arpico Finance PLC and the last year runner-up Nations Trust Bank PLC.

All teams are drawn into four groups A,B,C and D and all group leaders will meet in the 2nd round on a league basis and the best team will win the league tournament.

The winners will walk away with the challenge trophy and a cash award of Rs. 75,000. The runner-ups will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 40,000 and a challenge trophy.

Attractive cash prize and a trophy are also on after for the Man of the Series, Man of the Final, Best Batsman, Best Bowler, Best Fielder of the tournament and a special cash award for the highest number of sixes in the tournament.
