Colts Ladies in easy victory

Colts Ladies beat Old Yosodara ladies four goals to nill in the opening match of President Shield women inter-clubs league hockey tournament conducted by Colombo Hockey Association and played at Asto Turf recently. At half-time Colts led 2-nil. Goals were scored by M. Weeraman (2), Dinesha Perera and Hansi Ranasinghe one each. Umpires M. Vitara, A Juyasena and TD.K.S. Perera (3rd official). Earlier Young Ladies beat Ananda Balika 10-nil after leading four-nill at half time.

Meanwhile in the Andriesz Shield tournament for men, CH& FC beat Gymkhana (4-2) while Old Peterites defeated BRC (4-2). Old Wesleyites down Old Anandians (3-1). Both Inter-League tournaments will continue in the following week as well and will be concluded on July 15. Six teams each are in action at the both men's and women's tournaments.
