Eight-wicket win for Rahula

Rahula College thrashed Amarasuriya College, Meepawela by eight wickets in their under fifteen division one cricket match played at the Rahula College rounds on Monday.

Rahula invited the visitors to bat first in a match reduced to 23 overs per side. Theekshana Madushan scored an unbeaten 39 off 37 balls (4 x 2 and 6 x 3) while left arm leg spinner Pasan Samarathunge captured two wickets.

The Rahula batsman scored the required runs for the loss of two wickets in runs in 10.2 overs. Piruna Dashmina 32 not out in 25 balls (4 x 2 and 6 x 2) and in form batsman Hasindu Chanaka 22 off 14 balls (4 x 1 and 6 x 2) led the onslaught. Nethira Navinda and W B T Nawimana captured one wicket each.
