President visits Parliament

President Mahinda Rajapaksa yesterday paid a visit to Parliament.

The President arrived in the House at around 2.45 pm. Speaker Chamal Rajapaksa was presiding at the time of the President's arrival.

The President listened to the adjournment debate on June 6, 2013 the Registration of Electors (Special Provision) Bill.

The President remained in the seat allocated to him when the second reading of Parliamentary Scholarship Board (Repeat) Bill was taken up and left the House at 3.12 pm.

He participated in the Consultative Committee Meetings of Finance and Defence Ministries.
