Nafeek to Saudi Arabia as a domestic aide, have been put through legal
process and punished under Sri Lankan law, the Criminal Investigation
Department has confirmed to the Ministry of Foreign Employment Promotion
and Welfare.
According to Sri Lanka Bureau of Foreign Employment sources, the

Rizana Nafeek was beheaded in Saudi under Sharia Law over allegations

pleas by the Sri Lankan government and international rights groups.

Rizana. The European Union, UN Secretary General Ban-Ki-Moon voiced
their dismay over it.

Mahinda Rajapaksa and UN High Commissioner that Nafeek's execution was
"nothing less than murder."

Rizana Nafeek when she was in a Saudi prison.
