‘Geo Week’ at British School
Global warming took centre stage at this year’s geography exhibition
of The British School in Colombo which was worked off last week in the
School Geography classroom.
The projects and the posters were done in groups and the students
selected different themes from geography and one of the main topics that
they focused on was the global warming simply because of the present
climate changes.
This time the ‘Geo Week’ exhibition was extended for a period of one
week and it provided the children the opportunity to display their
creativity, their talents and to share their knowledge about the echo
systems.
The geography exhibition is a very important part of The British
Schools’ curriculum as every year it has provided a platform for the
students to display their geographical knowledge.
The students have shown a great amount of commitment and have done a
lot of research work in creating their projects and posters on different
themes following a preparation of just over one month.
The students were also able to learn about teamwork and have
generated different ideas and endeavoured to display it together which
is the main goal that they have achieved at this event.
