Achieving your goals
Kirthi Hewamanne
Every person must have a goal and a plan to achieve it.Without a plan
you will be like a ship without a rudder.
* You have to have faith and determination to achieve your goals.
* Decide on your goal. It has to be achievable.
Decide what you want. That is, select a Goal.
Be very decisive. It must be measurable. Write it down in clear
specific, vivid language.
Write the reasons you set the goal. Why do you want it? What are the
benefits to you from it? List all reasons you can think of.
When you set a goal and work towards it, you will find yourself
having self esteem which will result in an increased amount of self
confidence.
Decide the price you have to pay to achieve your goal. That is the
work you have to do to achieve your goal. You have to pay the price in
advance to achieve your goal. If you want to be a successful
professional or a businessman, till you achieve your goal, you have to
forego your leisure activities to some extent.
Re-write your goal every single morning. This is imperative. Then only
it gets into your subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is activated
by your goal. You have to constantly think of your goal. You have to have
the confidence you will accomplish it.Make a detailed PLAN for the
accomplishment of the goal, and write it down. Define the PLAN in terms
of monthly, weekly and daily activities. Write them down.
Concentrate on results and not on activities
Get to work right away. Do something extra each day to move you
toward your goal.
* You have to have a burning desire to achieve it.
* Go boldly towards your goals and unseen forces will come to your aid
* Keep your mind on what you want and not on what you fear
* Do the thing you fear and the death of fear is certain
You have to have faith in you, your goals and the plans to achieve them.
When faith is blended with thought, the subconscious mind instantly
picks up the vibration, translates it into its spiritual equivalent, and
transmits it into Infinite Intelligence, as in the case of prayer.
The emotions of faith, love and sex are the most powerful of all the
major positive emotions. Faith is a state of mind which may be induced,
or created by affirmation or repeated instructions to the subconscious
mind, through the principle of autosuggestion.
Repetition of affirmation of orders to your subconscious mind is the
only known method of voluntary development of the emotion of faith.
All thoughts which have been emotionalised (given feeling) and mixed
with faith, begin immediately to translate themselves into their
physical equivalent or counterpart.
Your belief, or faith, is the element which determines the action of
your subconscious mind. There is nothing to hinder you from “deceiving”
your subconscious mind when giving it instructions through
autosuggestion.
Acquire the ability to mix faith with any order given to the
subconscious mind. Perfection will come through practice. It cannot come
by merely reading instructions.
It is essential for you to encourage the positive emotions as
dominating forces of your mind, and discourage, eliminate negative
emotions.
Have faith in yourself; faith in the Infinite. Faith is the “eternal
elixir” which gives life, power, and action to the impulse of thought!
Faith is the starting point of all accumulation of riches! Faith is the
basis of all “miracles” and all mysteries which cannot be analysed by
the rules of science! Faith is the only known antidote for failure!.
Faith is the element, the “chemical” which, when mixed with prayer,
gives one direct communication with Infinite Intelligence.
Faith is the element which transforms the ordinary vibration of
thought, created by the finite mind of man, into the spiritual
equivalent.
It is a well-known fact that one comes, finally, to believe whatever
one repeats to one's self, whether the statement is true or false.
Thoughts which are mixed with any of the feelings of emotions constitute
a “magnetic” force which attracts other similar or related thoughts.
Any thought, idea, plan or purpose which one holds in one's mind
attracts a host of its relatives, adds these relatives to its own force,
and grows until it becomes the dominating, motivating master of the
individual in whose mind it has been housed.
In the 1940's, Scientists working at the Massachusetts Institute of
Technology coined a new word, Cybernetics, to describe the work they
were doing on sophisticated, self-correcting guidance systems for
missiles. The word came from Greek - for “helmsman.”
All animals - humans particularly - are biological cybernetic
systems, far more advanced than any computer system yet developed.
Throughout their lives, they are capable of learning from mistakes, and
use a natural process of feedback to steer them to their target - like a
baby determined to learn to walk.
But they can only do this if they know precisely what the target, or
“goal” is. Ill defined goals bring erratic helmsman ship.By contrast,
the human mind will chart its way infallibly to a goal which is clear
and focused, taking the best route possible in changing circumstances.
