The National Telecommunications Provider, Sri Lanka Telecom and the National Mobile Service Provider, Sri Lanka Telecom Mobitel have once again collaborated to open a state of the art teleshop at the Liberty Plaza shopping mall in the heart of Colombo. The newly opened teleshop is an experience centre where customers will be able to get first-hand experience of the latest smartphones, tabs and data devices released to the market. The shop will also be furnished with a comfortable seating area dedicated to gaming, where customers can try their hand at the latest games released. Mobitel's device centric customer experience will equip this teleshop with top-of-the-line amenities to cater to their loyal customer base. To create an even better experience for their customers within the teleshop SLT will be providing an experience hub with Wi-Fi. The shop will also feature a service centre which will cater to both Mobitel customers like a regular Mobitel branch and SLT customers with a SLT teleshop within its premises. This partnership between the two telecommunication giants is another step into enhancing synergy, improving collaboration and increasing productivity within Mobitel and SLT respectively.

Commenting on the latest project conducted in association with Mobitel, Lalith De Silva, Group Chief Executive Officer of SLT said, "As the national telecommunications provider, we at SLT are constantly striving to provide new and innovative services which are easily accessible, and this teleshop of a different variety is one such initiative. We want to present our customers, and the nation, with every opportunity to experience the many benefits provided by SLT, as well as Mobitel, and the value additions offered through the amalgamation of the two service providers. In addition to conveniently being located at Liberty Plaza, this experience centre gives visitors the chance to interact with SLT's high speed broadband service and wireless capabilities on their smart phones and tablets. I believe that collaborations of this sort are the future of the industry and the key to continued success for both companies."

"We at Mobitel are proud to be partnering with our parent company Sri Lanka Telecom in this endeavour. Our hope is to create a greater synergy between the two companies and to use our joint efforts to creating a space that gives our customers a new experience. In the run up to the opening of the teleshop at Liberty Plaza both Mobitel and SLT will be running joint promotions, discounts and special offers for all our customers. The experience centre will have something for everyone, from games to the latest business tools in terms of phones and tabs. We at Mobitel are committed towards continuous improvement and development, always providing the very best solutions for our customers," stated Kapila Chandrasena, Acting CEO, Mobitel.
