Sussex, Gampaha win relay event

Sussex College, Gampaha under 15 girls 4x100 and 4x400 relay
teams which emerged champions. |
The Inter-Sussex Network Athleteic Meet was held on the 9th and 10th
April at the Sugathadasa Open Stadium, Colombo.
Sussex College, Gampaha won the third place among the 20 schools
islandwide. They scored 284 points and won the championship for relay
events.

Geethma Amarasinghe was selected as the best athlete of the meet
under 15 age group.
All the athletes were trained by the physical education teachers
Lionel Peiris and Miss Sivanthi Wijesekara, under the guidance of Mrs
Rose Fernando the Principal of Sussex College. |
