Flower sellers along pavement arrested
Seven women and two men who sold flowers on the
pavement near the Kalutara Bo tree were arrested by the Kalutara
Police Environmental Unit yesterday. Police said selling flowers on
the pavement was prohibited.`

Couple arrested for theft
A young couple was taken into custody and charged
by the Kurunegala Police in connection with an alleged theft of
clothes valued at Rs. 20,000 from a textile shop in the Kurunegala
