Thadagi Mudra
Anusha Sandamali showing
Step 1 |
The meaning of this asana is swimming pool in Sanskrit. It also
signifies still water in a river or lake. This is because you need to
practice this asana without wavering. This is about self-control and
awareness of yourself, your body and your surroundings.

Step 1: Stand on the mat. Keep your legs together and your spine
straight. Lift your arms above your body.
Step 2: Breathe in deeply. Hold your breath. Now lift your soles off
the ground while placing your body weight on your toes. Keep your arms
erect with the palms facing outside. Slowly intertwine your fingers
together keeping little space between the back of the palms. Stay in
this pose for about three seconds or as long as you can manage.
Concentrate and try to keep steady as much as possible. Practice this
asana thrice.
