Thirty Maldivians follow VIP protection training course in Lanka

The Special Task Force (STF) of Sri Lanka Police conducted a special
training course for Maldivian Police personnel on VIP protection. Thirty
Maldivian Police Officers including two female officers who followed the
VIP protection training course, passed out at the STF Training School in
Katukurunda, Kalutara.
The passing out parade of the Maldivian officers was held under the
patronage of STF Commandant DIG R.W.M.C. Ranawana. Maldives Police
Service Assistant Police Commissioner Ahamad Saudee and Maldives Police
Commissioner’s International Coordinator Joona Lathief were also
present.
The STF has organised several VIP protection courses for Maldivian
Police personnel. The course support police personnel to develop their
professional skills.
It also supports to strengthen bilateral ties between Sri Lanka and
the Maldives, DIG Ranawana said.
“This is a golden opportunity for personnel in the Maldives Police
Service. We hope this training course will be very helpful to develop
the friendship and solidarity among Maldives Police and Sri Lanka
Special Task Force,” Saudee said.
STF Training School Director SP Madduma Bandara and senior officers
were also present at this event.
