Youth on bail after twin robberies rearrested

A youth released on bail in a case of twin robberies was re-arrested by Ingiriya Police for another robbery in Ingiriya, Nambapana. The suspect aged 19, is a resident of Nambapana. Two cases were pending against the suspect before the Horana Magistrate’s Court.

The teenager had entered a house in the Nambapana area and robbed jewellery in his latest robbery.

Ingiriya Police arrested the suspect within 24 hours.

The stolen jewellery was found at a pawning centre in the Ingiriya town.

The suspect will be produced before the Horana Magistrate's Court.
