MASL and ADRA Sri Lanka sign MoU:

Relief to people affected in emergency situations

Officials of Muslim Aid Sri Lanka and ADRA Sri Lanka signed a memorandum of understanding to provide emergency relief to people affected in emergency situations.

Muslim Aid Sri Lanka (MASL) and ADRA Sri Lanka signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) to provide emergency relief to people affected in emergency situations.

The partnership is recognized as two faith based organisations working together to serve humanity regardless of their faith or religion. The MOU was signed by the Country Directors of the two organizations in ADRA Office Colombo, in the presence of staff from both organisations.

MASL initiated a partnership with UMCOR in 2007, which was developed as a global MOU between the two organisations.

MASL Country Director Faizer Khan, while thanking ADRA added that this is yet another milestone for MASL and an example for development agencies to have collaboration and corporation to serve the humanity regardless of religion or faith.

“In the January 2013 floods in the East, MASL and ADRA worked together to help affected people by providing dry ration packs and hygiene kits which ultimately led us to have this agreement,” he said.
