Duo who attempted to hide newborn remanded

Two persons who helped leave a new born baby inside a car in a vehicle park near the Kalutara bo tree on New Year's Day,

were ordered to be remanded until April 30 by the Kalutara Magistrate.

The infant's mother was directed to be warded at the Kalutara Nagoda Hospital to care for the baby. The infant's life is said to out of danger. Kalutara North Police are investigating.
