Bed sheet used to gain entry identified

The mistress of the principal suspect in the museum theft case Lansage Priyantha Mendis alias Kangatta identified before Additional Magistrate Sandun Withana yesterday the bed sheet allegedly used to gain entry to the museum as that belonged to the suspect.

In addition the witness also identified the rock 'n roll model hat found at the scene of the theft as that belonging to an acquaintance of the suspect. Eight suspects are in remand custody in connection with the theft committed in March last year.

They were re-remanded till April 29.
