Pascucci Cafe opens out again

Pascucci Cafe at Wijerama road has embarked on a new concept of catering towards a bigger clientele by offering to provide towards children's birthday parties, corporate events, association meetings, BBQ luncheons and tea parties among the new service. The idea sprung up through customers demands and the Cafe' has recently opened an extra area above the cafe' which could accommodate a capacity of 100 pax, combined with the garden space.

"We see towards our customers' requirements and offer to work towards meeting those standards that would meet our clients demands, be it with the food and beverage menu or even entertainment," Dr. Sujeewa Lokuhewa, Group Managing Director, Universal Group, acknowledged.

The café' has also instigated the addition of specialist cakes and bakery into its menu and specialize in Italian inspired recipes to cater to its discerning customers. The café' does not acquire a license for liquor but provides its customers with the ability to bring their own liquor to their events at the café' at no extra cost.

The café' has also introduced a good lighting system and disco for its entertainment and would even supply DJ entertainment and one man shows depending on customer demands. Entertainment for kids include bumpers, magicians and ice cream stalls. Theme based parties are also arranged. Customers can choose from a variety of mouth-watering dishes, ranging from the café's main attribute of Italian food to Asian inspired and local dishes.

"Newly added finger food to the menu includes canape's and pin wheel sandwiches. Globally popular desserts such as panna cotta, tiramisu, almond tart, apple pie and fruit trifles are served. Every week, new additions to the menu are done to ensure creativity and quality," Rasanga Weerasinghe, Director/CEO stated.

Future areas for new ventures, that the Café' officials are looking into would be likely parts in Negombo and Hikkaduwa, depending on investor attraction towards sub-franchising. Pascucci Café' also engages in supplying quality Italian coffee for consumption to hotels and individuals alike. The Café' specializes in a wide range of teas and coffees; from the fast selling black tea, jasmine tea and green tea to ice tea, mint tea, chamomile and cocktail citrus and the globally popular coffee menu of cappuccinos, lattes, macchiatos and espressos .

With the Avurudu season having closed in, Pascucci Café' will be offering Sampath Bank credit card holders 20% off promotional offer till April 30 and 25% off on pizzas, with more than 20 varieties to choose from.
