Businessman, wife murdered

The owner of a fancy goods shop and his wife were brutally murdered at Chenkalady on Sunday night. The victims were identified as Sivaguru Ragu, 48, and Rahuvipra, 41. Police said a group of unidentified persons had entered their house on Badulla Road in Chenkalady and hacked them to death. Eastern Province senior D I G Pujith Jayasundara visited the scene of the crime.

Eravur Police are investigating.
