The SLFP's party membership expansion move, the ‘Nation Building Blue
Wave’ has been highly successful in Medawachchiya electorate,

effect from March 28 to April 4, the minister revealed that already
22,000 new members have been enrolled to the SLFP from Medawachchiya
electorate within three days.
Karalliyadda said the aim to be achieved by launching the Rata Negana

number of 11,000 SLFP branches up to 20,000.
“Only the SLFP has been instrumental from its beginning to provide
development dividends and benefits to the people in the country.
“The party which was established on the concept such as the supreme
duty of the human being is to serve the human being with the
participation of the five forces, such as Maha Sangha, native
physicians, teachers, farmers and labourers is being ushered to be the
strongest single party by President Mahinda Rajapaksa,” Karalliyadda
emphasized.

47 years continuously. That trend has been prevailing and more
strengthened resulting from the remarkable development activities
implemented by the government, Karalliyadda said.
