Bowlers help Matale Thomians to win

St Thomas College, Matale scored a good seven wicket win over S de S Jayasinghe College, Dehiwala in their postponed schools under 19 cricket tournament match concluded at St Thomas College grounds, Matale on Monday.

Match winner for the Matale Thomians was their medium pacer Ishara Kumarasiri who took 4 for 52 and 6 for 38 to return a match bag of 10 for 90.

Off spinner Dilshan Heendeniya too bowled well to capture a match bag of 8 for 81.

For S de S Jayasinghe College, off spinner Ashan Hewanayake had a match haul of 8 for 93.

S de S Jayasinghe College 156 all out in 29.3 over (Tharindu Dinesh 48, Hashan Hewanayake 27, P M Gayan 22, Ishara Kumarasiri 4 for 52, Dilshan Heendeniya 5 for 30) and 95 all out in 23.2 over (Ishara Kuruwita 39, P P Peiris 19, Ishara Kumarasiri 6 for 38, Dilshan Heendeniya 3 for 51).
