Moors call for change in final venue
Chinthana Wasala
Moors Sports Club President and Colombo Municipal Council Mayor A J M
Muzammil and vice president and Parliamentarian A H M Azwar have
requested the Sri Lanka Cricket Premier League tournament organizing
committee to hold the tournament final at a neutral venue.
The Moors SC President had also stated that by hosting the final, the
home team SSC will gain an unfair advantage in the title decider.
Sinhalese Sports Club and Moors SC will meet in the grand finale
which was originally scheduled to be held at the SSC grounds from April
5 to 7. SSC qualified for the final when they beat Tamil Union while
Moors SC beat Panadura Sports Club to book a place in final.
