Sri Lanka Table Tennis into a new era

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Table Tennis Association of Sri Lanka (TTASL) was held at the Sports Medicine Unit of Ministry of Sport on March 31, 2013. Deputy Minister Construction, Engineering Services and Common Amenities Lasantha Alagiyawanna was unanimously elected as the President for next two years.

Saman Sri Ratnayaka was elected unanimously as the General Secretary. Razeen Mohammed was elected as the Hon Treasurer.

Eight Vice Presidents and 20 clubs were selected to be in the Executive Committee. Six Resolutions were passed, pending ratification from the Ministry of Sport.

Outgoing General Secretary commenting on the work carried out during the last year stated that the TTASL is moving towards inculcating professionalism to the Association. Already Vision, Mission and objectives were agreed upon. Arrangements are made to provide physical resources to selected schools/clubs who needed most, long standing need of having own premises also was finalized.
