Three-year-old tortured by men in robes
Two men in robes were arrested by Koswatte Police
for allegedly torturing a three – year – old boy named Induwara
whose mother had left him and sought foreign employment. The two
suspects were due to be produced before the Marawaila magistrate
yesterday. The boy had runaway from a place of worship raising cries
alleging that he could not stand the beatings.

Trishaw driver arrested with heroin
A three-wheel driver transporting 200 packets of
heroin hidden inside the three-wheeler was nabbed by Puttalam Police
in Puttalam town on Sunday evening, following a tip off. The vehicle
was also taken into police custody.
