No one can harm Indian central govt and Lanka bond – Minister

The Tamil Nadu state government is trying to remain in power while pointing its finger at Sri Lanka without a clear reason, Health Minister Maitripala Sirisena said.

“A bond exists between the Indian central government and the Sri Lankan government. Representatives in these two governments will never do anything which will harm the brotherhood and friendship between India and Sri Lanka,” he said.

The party in power in Tamil Nadu is trying to protect power while other political parties supporting the Tamil Nadu state government are trying to use Sri Lanka as a bait to fulfill their targets, the minister said. He said they were trying to damage the country’s good image to overcome their objectives.

Minister Sirisena said the Sri Lankan government was doing its best to further strength ties with India.
