Narammala Sports Club in their first outing of the division two cricket tournament for Donovan Andree Trophy conducted by Sri Lanka Cricket defeated Gesto Cricket Club by 70 runs on first innings when the two teams meet at Rathgama. Taking the first lease Narammala Sports Club scored 214 runs with M de Silva making the top score of 59 runs while Chaminda Dissanayake too contributed 42 runs and for Gesto Cricket Club R Lasantha was the pick of the bowlers with 3 for 59.
