Trinity beat Rahula

Trinity College, Kandy registered second successive win in the
schools under 19 Lemonade Trophy limited over cricket tournament when
they beat Rahula College, Matara by 56 runs at the Asgiriya Stadium,
Kandy yesterday.
Trinity College earlier beat Isipathana College in addition to
defeating their home town rivals St Anthony's College by five wickets in
their limited over clash for the Sir Richard Aluwihare Trophy.
Trinity College batting first were dismissed for 228 in 43.3 overs
with big match hero Lakshitha Dassanayake top scoring with a quiet 63
including four fours and a six facing 80 deliveries. Rajitha Jayatunga
made 35.
Medium Pacer Piushan Kulatunga took 4 for 53.
Rahula College in reply were in a bad way before a seventh wicket
stand of 54 between Rukshan Gunawardene (42) and Sahan Hendawithane (27)
took them past the 160 run mark before the innings folded up for 172.
Trinity's off spinner Pubudu Samarasinghe bowled economically to
capture 2 for 28 in 10 overs. Off spinner Raveen took 3 for 36 in 9
overs.
Trinity College: 228 all out in 45.3 overs (Nushan Weerasinghe 23,
Ron Chandragupta 24, Lakshitha Dassanayake 63, Shanoogeeth
