Party leaders agree on no confidence motion

Party leaders have agreed to take up the no-confidence motion against Foreign Employment Promotion and Welfare Minister Dilan Perera on May 07, 2013.

The No confidence motion signed by 14 MPs against Minister Perera for his inability to move the Foreign Employment Bureau to save the life of Rizana Nafeek who was beheaded in Saudi Arabia, was handed over to the Secretary General of Parliament on February 19, 2013.

The motion was signed by MPs Ajith P Perera, Joseph Michael Perera, Ravi Karunanayake, Lakshman Kiriella, Niroshan Perera, Buddhika Pathirana, Akila Wiraj Kariyawasam, Thalatha Athukorala, D.M. Swaminathan, Champika Premadasa, Anoma Gamage, Dr Jayalath Jayawardena, Ranjan Ramanayake and Gamini Jayawickrema Perera.
